New Quality Assurance Co-Op!

At Redwood Audio we value the quality and craftsmanship of all things made.  If, like us, you enjoy exercising a critical eye for detail on projects large and small, have work you would like to see peer-reviewed or are interested in contributing behind the scenes as new ideas are fledged into the world – we hope you will consider joining our new Quality Assurance Co-Op!

Our goal is to bring together a formal community of experienced inventors, developers and testers for private collaborative reviews of each other’s projects at various stages in the development cycle.  The details of the program will evolve as the team is assembled and various interests assessed.  We hope to eventually include many experienced engineers, developers, test engineers, critical listeners, musicians, user-interface and experience experts, luthiers as well and technical writers.  All those jobs your company would fill if you had begun making your millions…  As we grow in numbers, it should prove very interesting for everyone involved!  Be sure to stay tuned for further developments.

JUCE for VST Plugins Tutorial!

VST Plugin Logo

Our JUCE tutorial for developing VST plug-ins just went up a few months ago and has already received some great attention and feedback from our readers.  If you have not had a chance to read it, you can find the original here...  There have also been some updates to the JUCE framework itself in that time and your continued interest has encouraged us work on an updated version.

For now, we have noted the major changes to workflow in the tutorial’s header – but we will be updating the content of the pages shortly.  If you have any additional ideas you would like to share with our readers, please let us know and we will be happy to give full credit for all contributions.  In the mean time, we are glad to see we have made a difference for many of you.  Happy Coding!

New Electronic’s DIY page!

Changes are afoot!  As the year since our website launch is upon us we will be seeking to complete many of the loose ends around our pages.

The first such change is the appearance of the new Electronics DIY page.  Like our other index pages it is there to provide links to useful content, tools and other resources to get your project off the ground.  We have included some references to DIY kits for all levels as well as some of the better guitar circuit collections we frequent.  Pulling out the solder iron to bring analog and digital audio projects to life has always held a dear place in our heart! So in time, we hope to provide our readers with many original tutorials and designs.  As usual, if you think there is something you feel we left out – we would love to hear about them.

As we continue to grow, we will be rearranging some pages and moving content so please bear with us!
